ZEPPELIN RELIC.

St. Annes Woman's Gift of Aluminium.

Part of a Great War German Zeppelin has now gone to the making of British planes, and the donator says, “I hope to goodness it will bring down a few of those Germans."

Mrs. A. W. Windsor, of 25, Knowles Road, St. Annes, who took this piece of Zeppelin to the aluminium dump yesterday, said that her late husband brought it home, had a brass plate inscribed, hung it on one of its arms and placed it in the hall.

It was part of the fuselage of the German Zeppelin airship, S.L.11, which was shot down in flames at Cuffley at 2-45 a.m. on September 3rd, 1916, by Lieut. W. Leefe Robinson, No. 39 Squadron, Home Defence, Royal Flying Corps, who was flying a B.E.2c aeroplane.
